Tata Steel H1 production up 10%

Tata Steel today reported 10% rise in production of saleable steel at 2.368 million tonne for the first half of the current fiscal.

According to a release issued by the company today, total sales for the first half was 2.298 million tonne, up 12% from the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

The company's sale to the auto sector rose by 31% to 0.41 million tonne, the release added.
