Tata Steel's sales recorded 3.4% growth while the hot metal has registered 3.3% increase in FY12.
This year witnessed an overall increase in production and sales while registering its best ever performance in hot metal, crude steel, saleable steel production and total sales, a company press release said.
While the company registered a sale of 66,32,000 tonne in this fiscal compared to last year's 64,16,000 tonne, the hot metal production was 77,50,000 tonne, a 3.3% increase as against last year's 75,03,000 tonne, the release said.
Similarly, the crude steel and saleable steel also witnessed 3.9% and 4.2% increase, the release said adding that while crude steel production was 71,26,000 tonne against previous year's 68,55,000 tonne, the saleable steel also saw up by 4.2% (69,70,000 tonne as against 66,91,000 tonne last year.
