Tata Steel to expand SA plant

Tata Steel may expand a 700 million-rand ($107 million) ferrochrome smelter in South Africa after it starts production next year.
 
Tata Africa Holdings Managing Director Raman Dhawan commented today in a television interview on CNBC Africa. The Mumbai-based company plans to build two furnaces to process chrome ore shipped from India to Richards Bay on South Africa's east coast.
