Tata Tea Q2 PAT vaults 52%

Tata Tea has registered a 16 per cent growth in income from operations in the second quarter ended September 2004, at Rs 234.91 crore compared with Rs 202.51 crore in the previous year's corresponding quarter.

Profit after tax rose 52 per cent at Rs 53.20 crore. Under Indian (GAAP), The Tetley Group reported a turnover of Rs 466.75 crore (Rs 454.65 crore) for the second quarter of its financial year 2004-05. Profit before tax was at Rs 39.40 crore.
