Tata ventures into Saudi Arabia's car market

Tata Motors have ventured into Saudi Arabia's passenger car market with the launch of three of its car models.

Tata launched its 2008 models of Tata Indica, Tata Indigo and Tata Marina, which conform to all safety, quality and reliability specifications of the kingdom, in a price range of SR30,000-35,000, Arab News reported.

The company has appointed Mohamed A Alhamrani & Co Intertrade (AIT) as its sole distributor in the kingdom.  Kumar said, their accent would always be on after-sale service. They have also set up an alliance network consisting of 35 service points to cater to the different needs of their customers.

Terming it a welcome step, India's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, M O H Farooq said, the launch of Tata passenger cars was a welcome addition from India which has already made a name for itself in the fields of IT, healthcare and education.
