Tata Housing Development Company today signed two Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with the Assam government to build commercial and residential projects in the state.
The first MoU was signed between the company and state industries and commerce department for developing commercial space including business parks and IT buildings, Tata Housing said in a statement.
The second one is between the company and the Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority for developing a township and other infrastructure projects under a public private partnership model.
"Assam has witnessed positive developments in the past few years. The state presents vast opportunities and is perfectly poised for an increased economic development," Tata Housing Development Company Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Brotin Banerjee said.
The MoUs were signed in the presence of Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and Tata Sons Chairman Ratan Tata among others.
