TCS Q3: Consolidated net at Rs 1,116cr |

Tata Consultancy Services today reported a consolidated net profit of Rs Rs 1,116.10 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2006 when compared with Rs 753.08 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005. According to a release issued to the BSE today, total income moved up to Rs 4,911.62 crore from Rs 3,247.58 crore in Q3FY06. The company, on a stand-alone basis, posted a net profit of Rs 950.52 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 as against Rs 679.65 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005. Total income moved up to Rs 3,849.69 crore from Rs 2,676.85 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005. The board has declared the third interim dividend of 300% i.e Rs 3 per share of Re 1 each. "Previous period figures have been regrouped wherever necessary. Comparative figures do not include the figures of the erstwhile Tata Infotech, Airline Financial Support Services (India) , TCS Business Transformation Solutions and Aviation Software Development Consultancy India, which were amalgamated with the Company retrospectively with effect from April 1, 2005. Consequently, the comparative figures are not comparable with the figures for the quarter ended December 31, 2006," the release added. Commenting on the Q3 performance, S.
