IT services company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) today said it has set up a global delivery centre in Mexico as part of its plan to expand operations in Latin America, and will hire 500 people for the purpose this year. The centre will serve local Mexican clients and provide near-shore services for the US clients, a TCS statement said. "The expansion in Mexico marks an important phase in the company's growth. We will hire 500 people for the Mexico centre in the short term and thousands more in the next 5 years, as we continue to build a strong and high-impact organisation in this region," Gabriel Rozman, president (Iberoamerica), TCS said. Over the last 5 years, TCS has set up operations in 14 countries across Iberoamerica, including major centres in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay and employs over 5000 professionals in these countries, it said. |
