Tcs To Scale Up Network Of Global Centres

Software major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will broadbase its development and delivery centres across the globe since business continuity has become vital while pitching for foreign contracts.

As part of this strategy, TCS opened its first software development centre in the UK. In addition to this centre, the company is also looking at setting up centres in the Far-East, especially Japan and Korea.

The UK centre, based in Guildford, will initially have around 50 people, which will be gradually scaled up to around 100 in few months.

TCS has already bagged Centro, the transport authority of the UK, as its first client to be serviced out of this centre.

 

The opening of the UK centre comes close on the heels of the company having opened a development base in Uruguay last month and a centre in Melbourne, Australia, and Hungary a few months back.
