Owner of the Mumbai Pro Kabbadi league franchise, Ronnie Screwvala, has played a key role with other team owners to push for an open auction of the media rights from this year, ending Star Disney’s five-year run for those rights. In an interview, Screwvala tells Surajeet Das Gupta why he expects a host of global and Indian companies to bid for the rights. Edited excerpts:
