Tech Mahindra's Q2 net dips 44% at Rs 169 cr

Mumbai-based Tech Mahindra’s second quarter ended September 30, 2009 net profit (consolidated) dipped 44 per cent to Rs 169 crore from Rs 302 crore in the corresponding quarter last financial year.

Revenue of the company was down 1.9 per cent at Rs 1,141 crore from Rs 1,164.8 crore in the same quarter last year. The company in its filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange mentioned that for the second quarter ended September 30, 2008 it had write back of Rs 67.3 crore.

Sequentially (compared to the quarter ended June 30, 2009), its net profit were up 20 per cent from Rs 140.9 crore--revenue was up 2.5 per cent from Rs 1,113 crore.

The company derived 28.4, 60.9 and 10.7 per cent revenues from the US, Europe and rest of the world respectively.
