Tech Mahindra profit up 28%

Niche vertical focus and maximum exposure to the European market saw Tech Mahindra report a net profit increase of 28.3 per cent at Rs 181.7 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2007.

Net profit was Rs 141.6 crore for the same quarter in the last financial year.

The company's revenue at Rs 897.6 crore for the quarter was up 28.6 per cent compared with Rs 697.6 crore for the corresponding previous quarter.

Sequentially, the growth was on the lower side. Its net profit grew 6.6 per cent from Rs 170.3 crore, revenue was up 2.43 per cent from Rs 876.3 crore for the quarter ended June 2007.
