Tech Mahindra to hire 100 people for its Fargo centre

Mumbai-based company already has 170 employees at the centre

IT firm Tech Mahindra today said it will add 100 new employees at its US facility in Fargo that caters to customers spread across IT, Infrastructure Managed Services and Business Services Group client segments.

The Mumbai-based company already has 170 employees at the centre.

"We started with 20 employees in June 2012 and currently employ 170. We plan to add close to 100 more employees by the end of 2015," Tech Mahindra Head (North America) Lakshmanan Chidambaram told PTI.

He added that the centre currently supports customers from Information Technology, Infrastructure Managed Services and the Business Services Group client segments.
 

Tech Mahindra actively recruits from area colleges like North Dakota State University and Concordia College.

It also partners local organisations like Smart Move and Greater Fargo/Moorhead Economic Development Corporation for development of talent in the area.

"Building our capacities in Fargo is fundamental to our business strategy, as it is one of the fastest growing cities," he said.

Greater Fargo/Moorhead Economic Development Corporation Executive VP Mark Vaux also lauded the efforts of India's fifth largest IT firm.

"Tech Mahindra has been a great addition to our community and an important part of Fargo's amazing growth story," he said.

Apart from Tech Mahindra, the $16.7 billion Mahindra group also employees close to 3,000 employees across various states of the US.

Mahindra USA (MUSA), the wholly-owned subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, began selling tractors in the USA in 1994 and has four distribution points in North America.
