Temptation Foods to firm up domestic activities

Exporter of frozen fruits and vegetables Temptation Foods is planning to establish its presence in the branded food business in the country.
 
The company will be launching its labels Delika and Temptation to cater to different segments. The company has acquired 26 per cent stake in Karen's Gourmet Kitchen, which has a range of sauces, jams and preserves.
 
Raj Halve, CEO, Temptation Foods, said while the company's own brands would lead its foray into the frozen cut-vegetables space, the tie"�up with KGK would be used to increase its presence in the branded processed food market.
 
The company is also in talks with a number of brands for a stake or complete acquisition. Vineet Kumar, chief investor, Temptation Foods said the company would focus on consolidating its foods portfolio in India. "We will be pursuing acquisitions as part of our expansion strategy," he said. "We will look at aggregating undervalued food brands and intend to have a portfolio of multiple food brands across categories and classes," Kumar added.
