"The deal has been signed between the government of Chhattisgarh and the company, in the presence of Chief Minister Raman Singh, in Tampa City of the US on Sunday," said the spokesperson. |
According to the pact, Texas Power Generation will set up the power plant and a coal washery, a sponge iron plant, a rolling mill, a captive power plant, an induction thermal unit and a structural mill. |
Another US-based company, Global One Inc, has made a proposal for $10-million herbal plant in Chhattisgarh. |
Principal Secretary Commerce and Industry Shivraj Singh, on behalf of the state government, and Chairman Vijay Kumar Jain, on behalf of the company, signed the deal. |
