Thapars get into BPO

The $1.5 billion Gautam Thapar group today announced a joint venture with US-based healthcare service provider Option Care to set up a business process outsourcing company with an initial investment of $ 2.5 million.
 
The 70:30 joint venture between the Thapar group and Option Care, has set up its first centre in Gurgaon with an employee strength of 50.
 
"The joint venture called Salient Business Solutions, will be in the healthcare sector and will look after claims processing, auditing, collection and maintenance," said Manoj Malhotra, CEO, Salient Business Solutions.
 
The centre has a capacity of 200 employees and the company will scale its operations in the next one year, added Malhotra. The company has also plans of ramping its operations to enter into verticals like finance and accounting and HR practices.
