Three directors of Kasturi & Sons Ltd (KSL), which runs The Hindu group of publications, today petitioned the Supreme Court for interim relief against last week’s order of the high court here, which had allowed enforcement of the editorial and other changes approved by a majority of the board earlier this year.
The HC order had set aside a stay order issued by the Company Law Board in this regard. The changes approved by the board, at the instance of the chairman and editor-in-chief, N Ram, would divest all family members from editorial responsibility. The board decision was approved by a majority of the shareholders at KSL, all family members.
