The sister quartet of Apollo Hospitals

All the daughters of Prathap C Reddy today have been elevated to higher positions

Apollo Hospitals, which is one of the largest healthcare network in the country, will now literally be run by four women, all daughters of founder Prathap C Reddy. Today all four have been elevated to higher positions within the company's ranks.

Preetha Reddy, the eldest of the four, who was the Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd (AHEL) and now the Executive Vice Chairperson, looking after the day-to-day operations of the hospitals. She formally joined Apollo Hospitals as Joint Managing Director in 1989, became the MD in five years and currently steers the operations of the Apollo Hospitals group also overseeing the planning, designing and funding of new projects. Preetha Reddy holds a Bachelor of Science from Stella Maris College Chennai, and a Masters in Public Administration from Madras University. She received formal training in fine-arts at Kalakshetra, Chennai.

Suneeta Reddy, who was the Joint Managing Director is now elevated as the Managing Director, is the one who looks after the financial aspects of the company. She joined the Apollo Hospitals Group in 1989. As the Executive Director-Finance, she was instrumental in taking the organisation to the international equity markets through a successful GDR. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations, Economics and Marketing from Stella Maris College in Chennai. She holds a Diploma in Financial Management from the Institute of Financial Management and Research, Chennai and has completed the Owner / President Management Program at Harvard Business School, Boston, USA.

Shobana Kamineni, who has been the Executive Director - New Initiatives, AHEL and has been appointed as the another Executive Vice Chairperson. She joined the group in 1982 as a liaison and project executive. She currently spearheads Apollo Pharmacy and in 2008 she headed Apollo's foray into Health Insurance (Apollo Munich Health Insurance in collaboration with Munich Re). Kamineni received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the Stella Maris College, Chennai and has an accelerated Hospital Administration Diploma from Columbia University, New York.

Sangita Reddy, who was the Executive Director - Operations, Apollo Hospitals Groups and now the Joint Manging Director of AHEL, leads the Human Resources and IT functions across all divisions of the Group. Her primary responsibilities also include policy development & growth strategies. She was a member of the Rockefeller Working Group, where she focused on the private sector's role in global health care. Sangita Reddy graduated in Science with Honors from the Women's Christian College in Chennai, India. She had taken post-graduate and executive courses in Hospital Administration from Rutgers University and Harvard University and National Singapore University in Singapore.
