BS Reporter Pune
Pune-based industrial energy solutions provider Thermax today reported increase of 13 per cent in its net profit at Rs 76.2 crore as compared to Rs 67 crore last year for the third quarter ended on December 31, 2014.

The revenue for the quarter increased by 13 per cent at Rs 1,147 crore from Rs 1,014 crore last quarter last year. However, its order intake dropped 10 per cent year-on-year to Rs 1,228 crore during October-December quarter as compared to Rs 1,365 crore for the same quarter. "The drop in order booking was attributable to the domestic segment where enquiry inflow and finalisation remained subdued," Thermax said in a statement.

The company received a repeat order worth Rs 351 crore that company received from a leading African industrial conglomerate to build and commission a captive power project for one of its cement plants. The order backlog of the group is at Rs 6218 crore, compared to Rs 6445 crore last year, lower by 4%.
