Founded in 2010, Tokyo-based adtech start-up Geniee features an ad platform based on real-time bidding (RTB), an industry term for the buying and selling of online advertising impressions via auctions that occur in fractions of a second. RTB allows advertisers to target specific demographics or geographical locations, thus ensuring that impressions aren’t wasted on irrelevant audiences.
 
Ambi Climate | Hong Kong 
Hong Kong-based hardware start-up Ambi Climate builds a rectangular gizmo that interacts with your AC for personalized comfort. It claims up to 30% energy savings.

99designs | Australia
99designs is an online design crowdsourcing platform allowing clients from around the world to submit project requests, ranging from logos and website layouts to T-shirt graphics and book jackets. The start-up has raised a total of US$45 million in venture capital funding to date.

India’s Diskover shows users a whole lot of hand-picked clothes, shoes, and accessories and lead you to the nearest store which has those in stock.
