Murugappa Group firm TI Cycles of India is expecting a turnover of Rs 100 crore from its fitness business in the next five years. BSA Workouts, the fitness division of the company, today launched its fitness experience centre as part of its growth plans.
Speaking to mediapersons here, KR Chandrasekaran, chief operating officer (domestic business) — TI Cycles of India, said, “The fitness industry, excluding gym business, is currently around Rs 1,000 crore, and around Rs 400 crore of it is the home equipment market. We are looking at around Rs 100 crore turnover from the segment in next five years.”
The fitness experience centre, set up with an investment of Rs 50 lakh, is expected to provide fitness enthusiasts an opportunity to experience the complete range of both cardio and strength training equipment.

The company has a presence in the home equipment segment and also in the semi-commercial segment, including common gyms in apartments and hotels.
