Singapore-based budget carrier Tigerair today announced 50 per cent discount on all Singapore-bound flights from five Indian cities. Passengers travelling from Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi and Tiruchy can avail this offer for bookings made during Jul 7-15. The applicable travel period is between Aug 4 and Nov 6, 2015.
While the one-way fare for Chennai-Singapore journey begins at Rs 3,799, and the return fare from Singapore will be Rs 7,999.
The airline has partnered with Singapore Tourism Board to celebrate the city-state’s golden jubilee.

Bridget Goh, area director, Singapore Tourism Board, said the number of Indian visitors to Singapore during the first half of 2015 has crossed half-a-million mark.
She said for the whole year the number of Indian visitors to Singapore is expected to be higher than the 943,000 visitors in 2014, growth was hardly one per cent compared to 2013 numbers.
Goh said as part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations, Singapore is rolling out promotions and special experiences for overseas visitors like hotel stays –pay for two nights and have the third night free, shopping offers-and 2015 is better time to visit Singapore.
