Erstwhile Titan Watches Ltd, Titan Industries has its retail presence of around 217 stores now in 110 cities across the country. |
According to Vandana Bhalla, brand manager "" Titan Industries Ltd, the showrooms attract over 12 lakh customers annually. |
"Along with the launch of this store, we have also introduced an exchange offer under which customers can bring any old watch and receive a flat discount of 25 per cent on purchase of any new Titan watch," said Bhalla. |
Bhalla, who manages brands of Titan like Raga, Aviator, Edge and Nebula, added that the scheme does not include Titan Nebula, the high-end 18k gold watches. |
However, the company has launched an offer exclusively for the Nebula sub-brand as well, wherein the customer gets a Sony Cyber Shot Digi Cam on purchases of over Rs 40,000 and a Philips DVD player on purchases below Rs 40,000. |
The price range of Titan Nebula watches, made of pure 18k gold, ranges from Rs 8,000 to Rs 90,000. Through the exchange offer, the company intends to capture the huge market of 200 million watches believed to be over 10 years old in the country, 90 per cent of owned by single watch owners. |
Bhalla added that in the watches industry, the company holds a marketshare of over 60 per cent, while its Raga sub-brand itself has grown by 40 per cent in value. In fiscal 2006-07, Titan Industries reported a turnover of Rs 2,136 crore. |
