Titan Q4FY06 net up 153%

Titan Industries has posted 153.47% rise in net profit at Rs 37.21 crore for the fourth quarter (Q4) ended March 31, 2006 (FY06) as compared to Rs 14.68 crore for the Q4FY05. 

The company's total income (net of excise) has increased 33.02% to Rs 424.03 crore for Q4FY06 from Rs 318.77 crore posted in Q4FY05.

For the whole year, the company has posted a 195.07% rise in net profit at Rs 73.62 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 (FY06) as compared to Rs 24.95 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 (FY05). Total income (net of excise) has increased 31.21% at Rs 1442.61 crore for FY06 from Rs 1099.45 crore in FY05.

The company's board has recommended a dividend on the equity shares of 30%, free of tax (previous year 20%, free of tax).
