Titan to add 15 stores in East

Titan Industries, one of the largest watch makers in the country, plans to open 15 ‘World of Titan’ stores in eastern India by March 2009.

Of the 15, four are likely to come up in West Bengal.

According to Rajiv Verma, regional sales manager, Titan Industries, “We have 45 exclusive titan showrooms in East right now and 225 in the country. We will open 15 more stores in the region.”

In the first quarter of the current fiscal, Titan Industries recorded Rs 32.22 crore profit after tax on a total sales revenue of Rs 811.14 crore.

The jewellery segment contributed Rs 615.72 crore to the kitty and the watch segment Rs 171.89 crore.

 

The company is also in the eye-wear business.

Titan has also announced the launch of Raga Diva, an range of watches for women. Raga Diva has a total of seven distinct styles in 24 models.

Priced between Rs 4000 and Rs 10000, the collection will be available at all World of Titan showrooms, large format stores and multi-brand outlets across the country.

The World of Titan showrooms chain today comprises 255 exclusive showrooms spread across 115 cities with more than 22 lakh customers every year.
