Tata Group company Titan Industries is eyeing to double the sales of its Sonata brand watches over the next 3-4 years on the back of brand affordability and reliability, a senior company executive said.

"Sonata will continue to offer reliability and affordability to consumers. We expect to sell around 10 million watches every year in the next 3-4 years, as against the 6 million, which we are selling currently," Titan Industries chief operating officer (Watches) Harish Bhat told reporters here.

The Sonata brand has seen a growth of around 30 per cent in sales in the current fiscal year, he added.

"The brand (Sonata) contributes nearly 50 per cent in the overall sales of 12 million watches that we sold this year," he said.

When asked about the growth in overall sales from the watch business, Bhat did not divulge any number but said that "it is in good double-digits".

He unveiled the new logo and tag-line of the brand as a part of a rebranding exercise.
