The Mission Hospital (TMH), a Durgapur-based group has decided to invest on a 200-bed super-specialty hospital with an estimated cost of Rs 100 crore in the capital’s outskirts in the Tupudana Industrial Area.
The Jharkhand government will provide 3.7 acre plot on long-term lease basis to the outfit which also operates a 250-bed unit in the name of Durgapur Medical Centre Pvt Ltd.
The long-tern lease agreement with the concern will be signed by the Ranchi Industrial Area Development Authority (Raida).
Official source said after signing of the lease agreement, the outfit would start construction .
State industry department has agreed to the project of the TMH group for a super-specialty hospital for which land will be leased for 30 years followed by renewal for the same period. The project will come up under the public private partnership (PPP) mode.
It may be mentioned that in 2011, Jharkhand government had invited expressions of interest for the state’s healthcare system for which a few Chennai and Delhi-based groups had shown initial interest but later disinterested. TMH has a base in several areas in the east – Durgapur, Asansol, Siliguri and Gangtok where the group maintains super-specialty hosptals.
