Bearing the brunt of terrorist attacks, the managements of Oberoi and Taj Hotels today refused to estimate the cost of damages saying it was too early for them to think about it.
"Questions like how much would it take for us to refurbish, the cost of damage, etc, are furthest from our minds now," a spokesperson of Oberoi Hotels and Resorts told PTI.
At present the management of the hotel is focusing on recovery as some of the guests and staff have been killed and injured, the spokesperson added.
The Indian Hotels Company CEO and Managing Director Raymond Bickson said due to the security measures that are being completed in the hotel, the management has been granted very limited access at present.
"The process of fully assessing the internal situation cannot yet begin as the National Security Guards (NSG) are continuing their risk assessment," he added.
"At the moment, the clear focus of all our activities continues to be supporting the immediate needs of the guests and staff who have been affected by the terrorist acts," he said, while expressing condolences to the families of all those who have lost their lives in the terror attack.
