Torrent Power plans 1,000 MW unit in Gujarat

Torrent Power has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Gujarat Power Corporation for setting up a 1000+ MW coal-based power project at Pipavav in Amreli District, Gujarat.

According to a release issued by Torrent Power to the BSE, the MoU was signed on May 22.
