Toyota June sales up 36%

Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM) has registered a sales of 5,600 units in June 2005, up 36 per cent over the corresponding period of last year.
 
The increase in sales is led by Toyota Innova which sold 4,633 units in June 2005, higher by 48 per cent compared to Qualis in the corresponding period last year.
 
Toyota Qualis sold 3112 units in June, 2004. Innova sales accounted for around 43 per cent of the MPV sold in June 2005.
 
Toyota Corolla has registered a sales of 901 units in June 2005, Toyota Camry 59 and Prado seven units in June 2005.
 
"Toyota Corolla, India's largest selling car in the executive segment continues to be a bestseller in its segment with sales of 901 units in a very competitive market situation. We have sold around 5,000 Corollas in the last six months," said Atsushi Toyoshima, managing director, Toyota Kirloskar Motors.
