Carmaker Toyota Kirloskar Motor today reported 83.82% jump in sales for August at 11,693 units, driven by robust demand for utility vehicle 'Innova' and its latest products 'Etios' and 'Liva'.

The company had sold 6,361 units in the corresponding month last year, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) said in a statement.

TKM, a joint venture between the world's largest carmaker Toyota and the Kirloskar Group, attributed the growth to healthy sales of its utility vehicle Innova and latest sedan Etios and small car Liva.

"The growth is primarily led by our flagship model Innova and our latest offering Etios and Etios Liva... We are now looking forward to the festival season," TKM Deputy Managing Director (Marketing) Sandeep Singh said.

The company sold 2,710 units of Etios and 2,824 units of Liva last month, he added.

Innova recorded sales of 4,305 units. Premium sedan Corolla Altis and sports utility vehicle Fortuner witnessed sales of 913 units and 897 units respectively.
