Carmaker Toyota Kirloskar Motor today reported an over-two fold jump in sales at 5,990 units during February this year.
The company had sold 2,976 units in the corresponding month last year, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) said in a statement.
TKM, a joint venture between the world's largest carmaker Toyota and the Kirloskar Group, attributed the growth to healthy sales of its multi-utility vehicle Innova, premium sedan Corolla Altis and sports-utility vehicle Fortuner, which stood at 4,142 units, 863 units and 972 units respectively.
"We are very happy to announce our record sales growth for the month of February 2010. Our customers continue to repose their faith in Toyota, which is reflected in our increasing month-on-month sales figures," TKM Deputy Managing Director (Marketing) Sandeep Singh said.
