Toyota Kirloskar Motors, which is at present selling only the Toyota Qualis utility vehicle in India, is planning to introduce a new product next year.

The company, which is studying the Indian market to decide on the right product for launch, is likely to import models in the completely-built-unit (CBU) form.

According to Satoshi Aoki, the company's director (marketing), "We will be launching a new product next year, but I cannot disclose the name, or the segment we are looking at. We will initially be launching the car in the CBU form, before we start manufacturing it locally."

The company would have a number of options to choose from, auto analysts said.

Aoki also said the company is hopeful of breaking even by the third quarter next year, at a sales volumes of 40,000 units. The company has invested Rs 700 crore in the country thus far.

Meanwhile, the company has launched the second limited edition version of the Qualis today. The company will be producing 400 units of the vehicle, which will cost around Rs 7 lakh (ex-Mumbai price).
