TiE Hyderabad chapter, in association with the Andhra Pradesh tourism department and five-star property The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace, will be holding the first edition of the national ‘Travel and Hospitality Entrepreneurship Summit 2010’ here on March 26.
“At this summit, our focus is to accelerate development of this sector and identify opportunities that will enable entrepreneurs to prosper by winning the commitment of business and government leaders to make the changes necessary to facilitate the success of entrepreneurs and build a culture of innovation,” JA Chowdary, chief mentor of TiE-Hyderabad, said on Friday.
Around 350 entrepreneurs, with 50 per cent from outside of Hyderabad, will participate in the summit where private equity and venture capital companies like DFJ Ventures (that has raised $400 million and expects to invest $20 million each year in India), would look at opportunities to invest in these sectors, he added.
