Tree House Q4 net profit up 45%

The company posted a total income of Rs 31.07 crore for the quarter ended March 31

Pre-school chain Tree House Education and Accessories ('Tree House'), posted a 45 per cent rise in the fourth quarter net profit for 2012-13. The company posted a profit of Rs 7.34 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2013 compared to Rs 5.06 crore posted in same quarter last fiscal.
 
Tree House posted a total income of Rs 31.07 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2013 compared to Rs 23.40 crore in the Q4FY2012, which was a 32.7 per cent growth. The board of directors of the company has recommended an increase in dividend from 10 per cent last year to 12.50 per cent in the current year i.e Rs .1.25 per equity share of face value of Rs 10 each. This is subject to shareholders’ approval.

Tree House added 30 new pre-schools in the fourth quarter of 2012-13. The total number of centers as on March 31, 2013 is 379 and out of this, the number of self operated pre-schools is 300.
