The company, keen to expand its network, is all set to open 10 showrooms this year.

Speaking to Business Standard here in Chandigarh today, Rajesh Gupta, executive director, SR Trexim (India) Private Ltd said the advantage provided by a tax-free zone was an important factor in the company's decision to shift base.

The company is looking for an annual turnover of Rs 150 crore in this financial year, and foresees a robust growth of 40 percent next year. Punjab contributes 17 percent of its total revenue.

The company has 9 company-owned showrooms-cum display-centers named Lauret Deergah, in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Guwahati and Chandigarh.

"This year our focus will be on making our presence felt in north India. In this region, we plan to open outlooks in Ludhiana, Jammu and Haryana, ideally over 1500-2000 square feet in area. We are also working to open showrooms in Lucknow, Cochin, Trivandrum, Sangli,"said Gupta.

He further added that the company was considering going for a franchisee system. According to Gupta, the brand has a robust market share of 40 percent in bath tubs, shower panels and in the multifunction segment.

With a number of new products in the pipeline, the company is targeting a market share of more than 50 percent in the next financial year. It is also diversifying into designer ceramic tiles.

"For the time being, we will get the titles through contract manufacture, and based on the feedback will set a unit," stated Gupta.
