Triveni Engineering net up 62%
Riding on high sugar prices, Triveni Engineering and Industries, the country’s third largest sugar producing company, has registered a 62 per cent jump in its net profit for the quarter ended June 30. Net profit for the quarter stood at Rs 39.8 crore as against Rs 24.60 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Apollo Hospitals profit up 53%
Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited has reported a 53.06 per cent increase in the net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2009 to Rs 44.8 crore from Rs 29.27 crore for the same quarter last year. Total Income increased to Rs 420.6 crore for the quarter from Rs 332.94 crore a year ago, an increase of 26 per cent.
Camlin records 87.71% rise in net
Art and stationery materials maker Camlin recorded a 87.71 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 8.01 crore for the quarter ended June 30 as against Rs 4.27 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Net sales grew 23.6 per cent to Rs 105.8 crore compared to Rs 85.6 crore in the year-ago quarter.
