An improvement in cargo movement from factories and farms along with a diesel price hike has pushed up truck rentals by three to four per cent last month, according to a monthly report released by the Indian Foundation of Transport Research and Training.
Earlier, in February, rentals had increased by four to five per cent. Oil marketing companies hiked prices of diesel by Rs 3.37 a litre last month to pass on the impact of global price movement and fluctuating exchange rate.
