As the market is abuzz with the news of more firing than hiring, Delhi-based Total Resource Academy of India (TRAIN), operating under Total Solutions Incorporated (TSI), is feeling upbeat that the job scenario in India is still soaring, as companies continue their search for the right talent.
TSI, which is a strategy consultancy firm with specialisation in retail and real estate consultancy, has decided to diversify into retail education soon. For this, it is looking to raise $5-10 million to start 300 retail academies across the country to train students, according to the demand of the retail firms.
To begin with, the company will start academies in Delhi, Ludhiana, Bangalore and Chandigarh by the end of this year.
TSI offers services like market research, audit, and business re-engineering programmes for its 180 retail clients.
Talking to Business Standard, Kapil Malhotra, managing director, Total Solutions Incorporated, said irrespective of the global scenario, the retail expansion plans of the MNCs in India were on track and they were hiring people.
He also added that the idea behind floating the retail academies was to fill the increasing demand of skilled manpower for the retailers.
TSI would tie up with retail organisations, especially in the F&B, entertainment and hyper market space, who would recruit the students from the training academies.
