TTK Prestige, a Bangalore-based kitchen appliances maker, announced today its plans to enter new business vertical "" total kitchen solutions "" and has launched a new retail format 'Prestige Kitchen Boutique'. |
Announcing the initiative, T T Jagannathan, Chairman, TTK Group said, "We plan to sell modular kitchen priced in the range of Rs 1-2 lakh through Prestige Kitchen Boutique and our target is the middle class households. The stores will be equipped with a design studio that allows the customer to get a look and feel of each kitchen." |
"With the improvement in the economic condition and also due to the realty boom, the market is ripe for modular kitchens and it was a logical step for us to foray into the segment. With this, we are now a 'total kitchen solutions' company that offers a complete suite of services," he added. |
Presently, the company has two stores in Bangalore (J P Nagar and Koramanagala) and plans to open two more stores by the end of this fiscal in Kochi. By the end of 2009, through the franchise route, it aims to be present in all major cities. |
The company is drawing up plans to piggyback on the existing 180 Prestige Smart Kitchen retail outlets across 110 cities in the country. |
"Each boutique will entail an investment to the tune of Rs 50 lakh and will operate on the franchisee model like Prestige Smart Kitchens. All boutiques will have a complete back-end of designers, carpenters, plumbers, masons and electricians to ensure prompt and quick fulfillment of client's needs," said S Ravichandran, managing director, TTK Prestige. |
