Howrah-based menswear lifestyle fashion brand Turtle Limited is planning to add over 30 exclusive stores to the existing 82 across the country by the end of March 2015, according to Arnab Pandey, head of retail business, Turtle Limited.
“Of the new stores planned, around 15 will be opened down south, in cities like Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Nellore, Gulbarga and Hubli. Each of the proposed outlets will have a typical carpet area of between 800 sft and 1,200 sft, and is expected to generate revenues of between Rs 75 lakh and Rs 80 lakh a year,” he told mediapersons here.
The 20-year-old company has nine stores across the four southern states, including four in Hyderabad. Its stores in Hyderabad contribute six-seven per cent to its overall sales, Pandey said.
"We have been witnessing a 20 per cent growth in business year-on-year. We expect our revenues to touch Rs 150 crore this financial year, as against Rs 125 crore last year, and reach Rs 200 crore by March 2015," he added.
