TVS domestic bike sales decline 22% in Nov

Chennai-based TVS Motor Company, the country's third largest two-wheeler maker, today reported a 22.46% decline in domestic motorcycle sales at 48,345 units in November as against 62,350 units sold in November 2006. 

The total two- and three-wheeler domestic sales declined 7.40% to 1,02,358 units from 1,10,539 units in November 2006.

The company has finally begun production of the much-awaited Flame in addition to Apache RTR EFI and TVS Scooty EV, and will formally launch the products this month.

With the launch of TVS Flame, the company will strengthen its presence in the executive segment, which accounts for over 50% of the motorcycle market.
