The company has attributed the lost sales of 20,000 vehicles owing to non-availability of trucks due to transporters' strike.

Total two-wheeler sales stood at 221,002 units in September 2015 as compared to 227,589 units sold in September 2014. Domestic two wheeler sales in September 2015 stood at 190,094 units against 203,755 units in September 2014.
Scooter sales of the company grew by 14 per cent to 75,369 units in September 2015 increasing from 65,993 units in September 2014. Motorcycle sales stood at 90,378 units in September 2015 against 91,627 units in September 2014.
The company's total exports grew by 33 per cent to 41,435 units in September 2015 from 31,229 units in September 2014. Two wheeler exports grew by 30 per cent to 30,908 units in September 2015 from 23,834 units in September 2014.
Three wheeler sales of the company registered an increase of 28 per cent to 11,773 units in September 2015 growing from 9,162 units in September 2014.
During the second quarter of the current financial year, sales of TVS Motor has increased to 6.79 lakh units. Total two wheeler sales stood at 6.46 lakh units in the quarter ended September 2015 against sales of 6.48 lakh units in the quarter ended September 2014.
Total three wheeler sales grew by 18 per cent increasing from 0.28 lakh in the quarter ended September 2014 to 0.33 lakh units in the quarter ended September 2015.
