TVS Motor's April sales up 15%

Total two-wheeler sales witnessed 14% growth while scooter sales increased by 55%

TVS Motor Company has posted an increase of 15.4% in sales during the month of April 2014, at 190,683 units, as against a total sales of 165,214 units during the same month of last year.

Exports witnessed a growth of 41% at 30,650 units in April, 2014, as against 21,714 units during April, 2013.

The total two wheeler sales increased by 14% to 183,179 units during the month, from 160,502 units in April, last year. Domestic two wheeler sales registered a growth of 11% from 142,794 units in April 2013 to 1,58,907 units in April 2014.

Scooter sales posted a growth of 55% during April at 46,069 units as against a sales of 29,692 units during the same period of last year, while in motorcycles the company has registered a sales of 73,636 units during the month this year as compared to 67,849 units in the month of April, 2013, with an increase of nine per cent.

 

Two-wheeler exports registered a growth of 37% with sales increasing from 17,708 units in April, 2013 to 24,272 units in April, 2014. Three-wheeler sales posted an increase of 59%, growing to 7,504 units from 4,712 units during the same month last year.
