TVS Motor Company has posted a growth of 17.45% in sales for the month of March, 2014, with sales of 1,96,826 units as against sales of 1,67,583 units during the same period of previous year.
The company's exports grew by 28% during March, this year compared to the same month of last year, according to a company announcement.
Scooter sales grew by 63% from 29,261 units during March, 2013, to 47,766 units in March, this year. The Motorcycles sales grew by 10% from 61,808 units last year March to 68,158 units during the same month of this year.
The total two wheeler sales of the company witnessed an increse of 16% at 1,88,822 units during March, 2014, as compared to 1,62,507 units for the same period of last year. The domestic two wheeler sales was 1,65,482 units while the sales was 1,43,239 units during same period last year, an increase of 16%.
Three wheeler sales increased by 58% to 8,004 units this March as against 5,076 units during the same month of last year.
Exports recorded 28% growth to 29,944 units in March, 2014, from 23,342 units in the same month last year. Two wheeler exports registered 21% growth from 19,268 units to 23,340 units this year.
