TVS Motor Company is planning to launch a series of motorcycle accessories.

K N Radhakrishnan, who took over as the president of TVS Motor just a couple of days ago, said the company plans to launch an entire range of biking accessories under the brand-name of its new premium segment motorcycle, Apache.

The products would include helmets, jackets, gloves and goggles to back-up the Apache brand as "we hope to garner 20-25% market share in the premium segment with the new brand in the first year of sales."

"India has the youngest population in the world with 70% under 35 years. Rising disposable incomes, high growth in services sector, low-cost finance and rising personal aspirations are all leading to a craving for mean machines where looks, style and riding comfort hold sway. TVS has launched Apache to meet the aspirations of this class of bikers," Radhakrishnan said.
