Two-wheeler segment may see double digit sales dip in FY21: HMSI

The company remains optimistic on the long-term growth prospects of the domestic two-wheeler industry

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) expects two-wheeler sales to remain in the slow lane this fiscal, with the coronavirus lockdown having already taken its toll on dispatches in the first quarter, said a senior company official, according to  a report by the PTI.

The company, however, remains optimistic on the long-term growth prospects of the domestic two-wheeler industry.

It has gathered from a survey that more people are now wiling to buy a two-wheeler in order to stay safe and maintain social distancing amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
