United Breweries Ltd (UBL), India's largest beer company, has registered a dip of 20.51 per cent in net profit at Rs 26.15 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Net sales for the company have grown 23.63 per cent to Rs 573.15 crore.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation for the company stood at Rs 39.67 crore, a fall of 39.24 per cent compared to the fourth quarter of the previous year. For the year-ended March 31, the company's net profit went up 51.37 per cent at Rs 94.59 crore compared to the previous year. Net sales for the year was Rs 1,997.23 crore, growth of 17.60 per cent.

 

The company also said that in the financial year ended March 31, it sold more than 7.8 million hectolitres of beer, which is equivalent to over 100 million cases.
