United Breweries, the world's third-largest spirit firm, has entered into a bilateral tie up with Roustam Tariko-owned Russian Standard Group for distribution of each others' liquor products in India and Russia respectively.

As per the understanding, UB will use RSG's distribution network across Russia to enter that market, Vijay Mallya, chairman of UB Group, said here.

"In turn, we will distribute Roustam Tariko's brands in India through our distribution network...Its a strategic tie up," he said.

RSG owns high-end vodka brands in Russia including Russian Standard and Imperia, which will be available through UB's distrubution channels across the country.

"I will be taking all my products... I have products across the spectrum and Russia is a huge, huge market," Mallya said.

The company is also looking for similar kind of tie up for its scheduled foray into the Chinese market, he said.

However, we have not decided about the Chinese partner so far, he added.
