App-based taxi aggregator Uber is getting its users in Mumbai to campaign against a draft city taxi scheme in Maharashtra that mandates cap on vehicles on platforms such as Uber and Ola and regulate fares for consumers.

Uber is asking its users in the state to sign the online campaign against the proposed draft by the Maharashtra government, which it calls “regressive”.

The draft on the state transport department website mandates cap on number of vehicles registered on platforms such as Uber, prescribed fares, physical feedback registers, printers for receipts and LED panels.
